About » Skyline Corporation
Manufactured Homes, Modular Homes and Recreational Vehicles

Founded in 1951 in Elkhart, Indiana, Skyline initially produced the affordable housing units popularly known as house trailers or mobile homes. These units evolved into today's manufactured and modular housing. In 1960, we opened our first travel trailer plant. During its 50-plus years of operation, Skyline has built more than 870,000 homes and 460,000 recreational vehicles (RVs), most of them travel trailers. Its sales over the years total in excess of $15 billion.
Skyline's balance sheet is among the soundest in American industry with a strong cash position and no corporate debt. Skyline is publicly owned and its shares are traded on the New York Stock Exchange.
Skyline is committed to producing the best products at the best prices. We have earned a reputation for uncompromising integrity in all of our relationships with communities, retailers, suppliers and with the hundreds of thousands of Americans who live in Skyline-built homes and enjoy Skyline-built RVs.
Many Skyline home and RV dealers have sold and serviced Skyline products for years. They have learned from experience that our dedication to principle is as strong today as it was when the Company was founded more than 58 years ago. They knew they could trust the Skyline of yesterday and they know they can trust the Skyline of today, tomorrow and the future.
Continuity of trust is a unique advantage in the marketplace. It enables us to stand tall and create mutually beneficial relationships with customers, dealers, suppliers and communities. It tells the world that we will always be guided by a simple but profoundly important rule of conduct: Do what is right.
As we obey this rule, as we do what is right, we have every reason to believe that the days ahead will bring new opportunities for achievement. The Skyline tradition of absolute integrity will assure more years of responsible success.
